Street Team for Meltdown

Please note, street team is different from volunteering!

Volunteer with Summer Meltdown Festival!

We are seeking awesome, hardworking, music-loving individuals to volunteer at Summer Meltdown Festival this August 6-9, 2020. Summer Meltdown volunteers support the festival in a variety of ways, including parking, ticketing, greening, and much more. In addition to helping Summer Meltdown pull off an amazing 4-day event, volunteers add to the incredible vibe of community found onsite. We invite you to join us in creating this one-of-a-kind celebration!

Volunteer Requirements

Pre-Event: To apply to volunteer, each applicant must fully complete the online form and submit payment for the $60 volunteer impact fee. Impact fees help offset the costs of the volunteer program, including volunteer t-shirts, meals, and onsite perks. Any applicant who is not accepted to volunteer will receive a full refund of their impact fee; otherwise, this fee is nonrefundable.
Festival Weekend: All volunteers must submit a $200 deposit prior to the festival weekend. This deposit will be refunded in full upon completion of your volunteer obligations. Volunteers work a total of 12 hours, divided into 2 shifts. Volunteers MUST arrive at the venue no later than 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 6th, attend the volunteer orientation, and complete all assigned shifts. Volunteers must also agree to follow Summer Meltdown’s rules and guidelines, which are in place to help ensure the safety and integrity of our event!

Volunteer Benefits

In exchange for their amazing contributions to the festival, volunteers receive: admission to all 4 days of the festival, free parking; a special volunteer t-shirt, one meal per volunteer shift, exclusive access to an acoustic performance for volunteers, PLUS the satisfaction of being a part of the magic that is Summer Meltdown!

Volunteer Camping

Volunteer camping is located at Squire Creek Campground. This beautiful, forested campground is located 0.8 miles from the venue and features a pristine creek and old-growth trees. There will be a complimentary shuttle service provided for volunteers between the campground, the parking lot, and the venue. Please note that Squire Creek Campground is tent-camping only, so all vehicles must remain in the parking lot.
Volunteers must camp at Squire Creek for the duration of the event, not in the GA Campgrounds. The GA Campgrounds are reserved for patrons who have purchased the opportunity to camp in that space. Thank you very much for your understanding as the festival aims to be both sustainable for decades to come, and respectful of all who participate.

To apply

Please complete the online form and pay the volunteer impact fee to submit your volunteer application. Select TWO preferred shifts (ONE per day). Please note that shift requests are not guaranteed, and you are likely to receive an evening shift even if you did not request one.
